1. Data Collection and Use Practices

Equity Institute LLC ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you express an interest in obtaining information about us or our services, when you participate in activities on our services, or otherwise when you contact us.

The personal information that we collect depends on the context of your interactions with us, the choices you make, and the products and features you use. This may include names, phone numbers, email addresses, mailing addresses, contact preferences, and information about your organization and requested services necessary for providing our services.

We may also collect your phone number and SMS consent preferences when you voluntarily opt in to receive text communications.

2. Privacy of Personal & Organizational Information

Equity Institute LLC understands the sensitive nature of the information clients and members share with us. We implement robust administrative, physical, and technical safeguards to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all personal and organizational information we create, receive, maintain, or transmit.

We only use or disclose personal and organizational information as necessary to provide our services or as authorized by you.

All staff are trained on the confidential handling of personal and organizational information.

We maintain confidentiality agreements with third-party vendors, such as co-facilitators, partner organizations, and platform providers, who may handle your information.

3. SMS Communications & TCPA Compliance

We comply fully with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and A2P messaging requirements.

By providing your phone number and opting in through our forms, you consent to receive text messages from Equity Institute LLC, which may include webinar and teach-in reminders, membership and Fellowship updates, engagement scheduling notifications, and occasional service-related messages.

Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply.

You may opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time by replying "STOP" to any message. For assistance, reply "HELP" or contact us directly.

We will not send SMS messages using automated dialing systems or prerecorded messages without your prior express written consent where required.

We maintain an internal Do-Not-Call list and honor all requests to be added to it immediately.

4. Data Security and Encryption

We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process.

All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted using industry-standard TLS/SSL protocols. Data at rest, including sensitive client and organizational information, is encrypted using AES-256 encryption.

Despite our safeguards and efforts to secure your information, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies (like web beacons and pixels) to access or store information. Specific information about how we use such technologies and how you can refuse certain cookies is set out in our Cookie Notice.

We do not use tracking technologies in a manner that would compromise the confidentiality of client or organizational information.

7. Third-Party Data Sharing Practices

We only share information with your consent, to comply with laws, to provide you with services, to protect your rights, or to fulfill business obligations.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Any sharing of client or organizational information is limited to what is necessary to fulfill your requests and is governed by confidentiality obligations with our vendors.
